Can I have policies with other insurers as well?

There is no limit to the number of life insurance policies you can have with other insurers. However, there is a limit on how much income protection cover you can have (so you can’t use your life insurance to get a pay raise). 

We’ll ask you if you have other income protection insurance during our quote process. It’s in your best interest to be honest, because otherwise you might end up paying extra only for your claim to be denied because you’ve hit the legal limit for this type of payout. 

At Sanlam Indie, we automatically use your salary to determine the maximum amount of cover we can offer on any product. This is because we don’t want to sell you a product that we don’t think you can afford.
